Welcome to Ex-Cell Kaiser, a developer and manufacturer of unique, high-quality recycling, hospitality and facility management products. With over 75 years of experience, we’re well versed in custom designing cost-effective solutions for market-specific applications around the world.
But we can’t take all the credit. We’ve been listening to our clients and incorporating their feedback into our products from day one. Good thing, because these collaborative relationships have proven instrumental in not just reacting to but anticipating what the market — and our clients — will need next.
And that leads to another important point. While we take great pride in our extensive product line and custom manufacturing capabilities, Ex-Cell Kaiser isn’t just about products; it’s about people. The people that manufacture and design the products. The people that walk you through the purchase process. The people that make sure you find the product that fits the specific needs of your site.
Without our team of experts, we couldn’t serve the most important people of all — people just like you. Your site. Your project. Your budget. Your needs. Because helping you assemble it all so that every detail fits your exact specifications and works together to elevate your space into something extraordinary is why we’re here.
We encourage you to browse our product collection, give us a call and work with us to transform your restaurant, hotel, casino, office, factory/warehouse, school, hospital, park/community center or stadium into an even greater asset.
Made in the USA
At Ex-Cell Kaiser, it’s not just about sales. It’s about providing our customers with a quality product and our employees with a sense of pride. To do so, we focus on controlling the things we can control, like delivering the best service and solutions today’s cost-driven climate demands.
As a family owned and operated business, the difference is in the details, which means everything we produce has to pass our rigorous quality control standards before it passes through our doors. Our reputation for manufacturing quality products is a lasting testament to our belief in the value of hard work, upon which our company was founded. That value was first forged right here in the Midwest, and that’s why we continue to make so many of our products in the U.S.A.
At Ex-Cell Kaiser, we’re committed to protecting the environment and natural resources. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the U.S. Green Building Council to leverage the personnel, knowledge and physical tools needed to positively impact environmental sustainability.
Each and every day, we’re looking for new ways to leave a positive environmental footprint, whether through our own day to day business operations or through our products and manufacturing process.
Our internal efforts include the implementation of company and plant wide recycling procedures and initiatives, the separation of recyclable waste, timed production processes to reduce energy consumption and the purchase and usage of green cleaning products and products made of recycled waste.
As a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), Ex-Cell is operated by Janet Kaiser. Ex-Cell was established in 1933 by Janet’s grandfather, Joe Goldberg. Mr. Goldberg was an inventor, manufacturer and distributor of various products that served the Motion Picture Industry, from Carbon Arc Lamps and projectors to vending machines and other theater supplies. In the 1930’s Joe started Ex-Cell on Chicago’s Movie Row area in the vicinity of Wabash Avenue and Roosevelt Road, initially manufacturing “Sand Urns” and Cigarette “Smoking Stands” for movie theater lobbies.
Morton Goldberg, Joe’s son, joined his Father in the 1940’s after serving in the army during WWll. He expanded the product line to include different styles of waste receptacles, dust pans and coat racks. Through the continuing efforts of Ken Goldberg, Mort’s son, Ex-Cell further expanded into new Janitorial, Food Service, Hospitality and Industrial Markets worldwide. Ken saw that as the needs of the marketplace changed, so should the product mix. His innovative work in product concepts, design and development expanded the product line to include larger outdoor and indoor waste & recycling receptacles, bellman’s carts, garment racks, luggage racks, restaurant small-wares and custom manufacturing.
Today, we continue to grow aggressively through innovation and product development while maintaining our longstanding tradition of providing high-quality, Illinois-produced products for facilities worldwide.
